Lexie's "Childhood Abuse Recovery" God Story

In this episode, I interview Lexie Voorhees, childhood abuse survivor and former Altered Stories Ministry Board Treasurer and guest blogger.  Lexie is a Christ-follower, women’s ministry leader and former non-profit finance business professional who lives in Tucson, Arizona.  She has firsthand knowledge of the pain and despair that comes from a childhood of neglect and abuse. 

Lexie and I discuss her journey of healing by the transforming power of Jesus Christ — a power she only began to realize with more depth and discernment, ten years after accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 16. 

Lexie also shares how she journeyed with God, persevering in allowing Him to not only mend her broken heart but to show her how to put the past behind her and live life with amazing joy. Discovering that God’s faithfulness, provisions, and love are truly more than she could ever imagine!
